LTEC 5510 - Week 7 Activity 3 Blog

Welcome Back!

This week, my goal was to complete half of the course design in Canvas LMS. So, where did I begin? Initially, I had planned to incorporate several simulations from various external websites to enhance learners’ understanding of advanced hydraulic systems. Unfortunately, many of these resources were either unavailable or required a subscription, which limited access.

To adapt, I strategically replaced some of the original materials with resources I currently have on hand, including content from CDX, Lunch Box Sessions, YouTube, and manufacturer websites.

One challenge has been integrating quizzes and peer review discussion topics that encourage collaboration and active participation among all students. Building quizzes within Canvas has taken more time than I anticipated. Additionally, some simulations require students to purchase first-day access through CDX, which meant I needed to create visual representations of what the assignments will look like during the course.

Despite these hurdles, I’m confident in my progress and feel well on track to complete the course design by the deadline.

Until next time ...
